About Us

Lightning Arrow Ranch was founded 2022. Both Mike and Jeanette grew up on ranches. Mike came from a cattle background in central North Dakota and Jeanette hails from an equine background from Tennessee. Their love of rural living and homesteading culminated in the purchase of their ranch.

After purchasing the ranch they realized this place was too incredible to keep to themselves. In 2023 they joined Harvest Host as a camping spot. Since then they host around 30-40 campers a season. Amenities includes 50amp power, water, a fire pit, treed areas for shade and wind break, gardens, pasture raised chickens that provide eggs daily, miniature horses as well as standard sized horses and peace and quiet with views to enchant.

Mike is trained as an EMT, firefighter and performs technical rescue via rope. He has a vast knowledge of the area, as he grew up on the neighboring ranch to the southeast of Lightning Arrow Ranch. He is passionate about local history, all aspects of the outdoors and land stewardship/ conservation.

Jeanette works from home as a self taught lapidary artist. She blends her love of paleontology with creativity to produce stunning jewelry made from 40,000 year old woolly mammoth molars and tusks. When she’s not making jewelry she can be found working with their 5 miniature horses. She conducts clinics on how to drive horses, including teaching people the art of how to safely drive them.
